Seems to have been under reported this side of the ocean, but did people notice that Sarah Palin bailing-on-her-job shit, btw?

It reads very much as though Quitty McQuittington is clearing her calendar for SOMETHING, either regarding the various bits of speculation that she's got some big legal hassles catching up with her, or (God help us all) to get a big old run-up for her political career for 2012.

If there is one person in the whole world that I would like to see be overpowered and raped by Alsatians, it's Sarah Palin.

But particularly if they could be covered in knives and lemon juice.

I can dream.

Alsations don't exist: the term was removed by the Kennel Club back in the late 70s or early 80s. German Shepherd Dog is the breed you are looking for.

It's generally considered more elegant and less snide to simply say "So fuck you, you pathetic, hateful cunt of a loser", than the now generally deprecated "Have a super day".

Another popular number these days is the delicious "I'll pray for you".

The "Dog" part of that seems pretty redundant, unless you're discussing them in a context where they could be confused with a German Shepherd Bloke.

I was actually hoping you meant those folks who live in that ever-disputed region between France and Germany. And then I read on and realised you must have meant the breed.

Rabid franco-germans covered in lemon juice and sporting some outfit that's a cross between biker gear and a mace, however, is particularly shudder-inducing, especially when SP is thrown into the melee.

What fascinates me is that she claims throwing the state into chaos by quitting before she has finished her contractual term is "doing good" and not "sitting around" like other "lame ducks." Because, y'know, doing your job with proper dedication for the full term just isn't an option for her, I suppose.

I really, really hope that she's quitting because of a horrible, horrible scandal with which she is being blackmailed, such that she can never again enter politics on a nationally noticeable level. Keep your fingers crossed with me.

I think the thing that bothers me the most about Sarah Palin is her plain stupidity. I've never seen a politician more ignorant of actual world situations, and (the worst offense, really) science.

She can't run for office in 2012,. She's fucked. No matter what she does, any semi-competent opposing candidate could portray her as a quitter. The best she can hope for is to be some sort of spokesperson. Never an elected role.
